They say you should do what you love, and I love architectural education. But more than just researching or writing about architectural education, I love talking to students and educators about it.
I believe that architectural education is enriched by the flow of ideas, discourse and debate between its actors. Students and educators alike can feel isolated in their respective institutions. As evidence of a resurgent interest in pedagogical debate around our profession, we can turn to the arrival of exciting new organisations such as the ASN and the aae for students and staff respectively.
The Arch. Ed. Podcast will compliment those activities - existing beyond student networks, professional bodies, and academic journals - for educators and students to talk about architectural education. The podcast's purpose is to open up and make these conversations more accessible. It's a place for informed, honest, critical and informal discussion about architectural education today.
